trying to think outside the box - redone in watercolor

In order to bring consistency to my children's book illustration porfolio, I've been redoing some of my pieces to become either watercolor or digitally painted. The watercolor really gives this piece some life and visual interest that the digital version did not have.

I agree. I prefer the watercolor piece. There has been a recent posting by Jesper Elsjing (sorry, I probably misspelled that), which was basically about the life that's in sketches that often gets left out of the final piece. It's something I am trying to overcome as well.
