This was done for an SCBWI contest in which everyone is illustrating the scene from Chicken Little where Turkey Lurkey finds out "the sky is falling."This is a piece in watercolor with a color pencil outline. With this type of watercolor application, I got some textures that I liked. I was thinking of Peter deSeve's work and having a fun time dabbing watercolor around. I'm going to be doing more work in this style.
